Youths have been urged to
guard against being misused by politicians to wreck havoc in
the country.
Head of Catholic Church
in Kenya John Cardinal Njue says no Kenyan is self sufficient
hence there is need for them to shun actions geared towards
dividing them along ethnic lines.
Presiding over a sacrament
of confirmation ceremony at St. Augustine Catholic Church in
Juja, Cardinal Njue appealed to the young people not to be coerced
into engaging in acts of lawlessness.
Njue said going out into
the streets and destroying property could never be a way of
solving the political standoff currently facing the country.
He called upon the two political
sides to come together and resolve the crisis through dialogue.
He further appealed to Kenyans
not to engage in revenge missions saying such a move could only
worsen things.
He instead urged Kenyans
to forgive each other and live in harmony as they used to before
the December 27 polls.
Njue called upon all Kenyans
irrespective of their religious affiliations to pray for resumption
of peace in the country.
